About Karen

Since 2001 Karen’s coaching business has been dedicated to supporting individuals in creating clarity on issues for themselves, on their own terms, with the guidance of coaching.

Karen is certified through the Coaches Training Institute of San Rafael, California and has a Master’s degree in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas. She graduated with a B.A. in Women’s Studies and English from the University of Minnesota – College of Liberal Arts.

In addition to individual coaching, Karen offers workshops and seminars for groups and businesses on relationships, purposeful work, and coping with transition.

What her clients are saying:

“Karen Carr, in two short months of coaching, helped me change and focus how I live and work. Every session with Karen left my feeling energized. My life became manageable and goal-directed. She broke down the big picture – my long-term goals – into doable segments – my short-term, daily and hourly goals.

Karen coaches not only with the macro- and micro- aspects of life in mind, but also with the outer and inner. She suggests techniques for managing time and actions for bringing dreams to fruition. She also offers affirmations, gestures, or rituals to help stay balanced, put things in perspective, and reinforce an ideal or intention.

Karen is a true networker with a wealth of resources at her fingertips. She could refer me to books for inspiration, local businesses to help solve logistical problems, and organizations that might facilitate realizing my vision.

I liked working with Karen as a friend who was there to support me in all areas of my life – a gentle invisible presence who would show up at the right time no matter what. I treasure all that Karen helped me discover about myself. I look forward to coaching with her again!”
